Elementium Ore is a new ore that was introduced in the World of Warcraft Cataclysm expansion. It is comparable to Saronite Ore from Wrath of the Lich King and serves as a placeholder for Pyrite Nodes.

Elementium can be found in the mid to upper range zones that are approximately level 82+. This ore will most likely end up being over farmed as players in pursuit of Pyrite will end up with a ton of Elementium in their bags. This could result in low prices and excess supply on the auction house, but remember, it will take awhile before the price of Elementium becomes so cheap that it's no longer worth farming anymore.

This is because the demand for it will be so high due to it being used in Engineer, Blacksmithing, and Jewelcrafting. Players will be trying to level these professions from 450-525 while others will want some of the end game items that result from the high end professions.

The two zones that are the best to mine it from are Deepholm and Twilight Highlands.

Deepholm requires level 82 to access and no one should go to Twilight Highlands until they are at least level 84 because it will most likely result in more deaths than it will in Elementium Ore.

Legend says Elementium Ore is the hardest metal known to Azeroth, even moreso than diamond. It's very rare and difficult to find and process, it is used in the creation of extremely powerful weapons and armor. The ore and Blacksmith recipe to process it can only be found in Blackwing Lair.

While legend says it is hard to find that wont' be the case after reading this article.
